Recently Google Introduced its new Android OS version Android 4.4 Kitkat which was earlier said to be Key Lime Pie, but according to few source Google dumped that idea as many people doesn’t know the taste of Key Lime Pie and one of the employee at Google suggested the name Kitkat and Google though it would be a good instead of Key Lime Pie. So, while launching their new OS kitkat Google placed a statue of Kitkat at Google’s Lawn, where a meant to be Nexus 5 phone was spotted on one of the Google’s employee hand. Later few more images of Nexus 5 were shown at FCC with more details. Although there is no official announcement from Google or LG about the device neither the release of Android 4.4 Kitkat, but according to AusDroid and few more news floating around the web it is been said that Nexus 5 will be released on 14 October with Android 4.4. The rumors look quite promising as the Nexus 4 was also released on the same fall last year.
Nexus 5 might be coming in 14th OCT with Android 4.4
The FCC doucemnts revealed a 4.69inch diagonal display and even a Nexus 5 name with a 131.9mm x 68.2mm size with a Snapdragon 800 System on a Chip (SoC). It is also going to feature a Qi wireless charger inside the back of cover (which you can see in the image provided by FCC). The good thing it will be having a 7 band LTE which will support the higher data speed, whereas Nexus 4 failed to have that, and ofcourse it will have NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, CDMA/EVDO rev A, pentaband DC-HSPA+ and quadband GSM/EDGE. According to AusDroid there will be few more changes in the device and is expecting to have updated fragmentation/screen resizing area, Miracast updates, new Gallery Visualisation, new APIs regarding animations and a notification widgets. They are also going to change the UI where it is going to replace the blue default color scheme which is currently found in the recent ROM’s to other palette colors. As far I think they should keep the current color (blue) and should provide different color palette just like ParanoidAndroid ROM.
Nothing comes without some sugar and salt so taking all above as rumors we will be waiting for the official announcement but it will be great if they launch both of them this Oct 14. Do let us know what your take on this is and hold tight until we come up with more news about both Android 4.4 Kitkat and Nexus 5.
